Vision Wheel Athletes Excel in Crandon, Indianapolis Over Labor Day Weekend

On one of the biggest racing weekends of the year, Team Vision Wheel posted a massive slate of race victories and podiums across America. Headlining the successes were another strong set of results at the World Championship Off-Road Racers, where Vision scored the top two spots in the premier World Cup race for the second year in a row and had the top finishers in each class.

It was a dominant weekend for CJ Greaves, who scored five victories across multiple classes, including the season-ending World Cup. Greaves kicked off the weekend with wins in the Championship Off-Road points finales in Pro 4 and Pro Stock SXS, finishing first and second in class points in the two series, respectively. He then swept the weekend in both classes on Sunday’s World Championship day, before carving through the Pro 2s in the mixed class World Cup to earn his record fourth win in the prestigious race.

Andrew Carlson scored a pair of runner-up finishes in the Pro 4 on Sunday, coming home behind Greaves in both the Pro 4 World Championship and World Cup races, while Ryan Beat led the Pro 2 finishers in the World Cup race as he came just short of his second straight World Cup podium. Other podium finishers included Kody Krantz’s win for Bikeman Performance in Friday’s 170 SXS race, Christopher Polvoorde’s third place in Saturday’s Pro Lite race, and Keegan Kincaid’s third place in Sunday’s Pro 2 World Championship.

In addition, Pro Spec driver Gray Leadbetter made Championship Off-Road history as the first woman to ever win a Pro class championship in the series. She kicked off the weekend on Friday with her fourth victory of the season to pull into a tie for the points lead, and a third place finish in Saturday’s season finale gave her a three-point advantage in the final standings.

Vision Wheel would also like to congratulate brand ambassador Antron Brown, who scored his second NHRA Top Fuel triumph as a sole team owner in Monday’s US Nationals, the biggest race of the year, at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. Following his big win, Brown and his family headed to Washington DC to testify before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee in support of the RPM Act, a bill that protects the rights of racers to modify street vehicles into dedicated race vehicles as they look to begin their motorsports journeys.

Finally, Vision Wheel would like to acknowledge the loss of one of its own at Crandon. Rufus Racing team owner Zandy Willems passed away after an accident in Saturday night’s Ultra4 event at the track. The entire Vision Wheel family sends its best to Zandy’s family, friends, teammates, competitors, fans, and all those affected by his passing.
