JIM BEAVER ESPORTS

About Jim Beaver eSports

Jim Beaver eSports was founded in 2019 as an eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series team, leveraging Jim Beaver’s media empire to bring major sponsors to iRacing’s premier esports championship. Later that year, the team absorbed Reignition Esports, a prominent off-road and dirt oval racing team, retaining a majority of its drivers and making its first entries into iRacing Rallycross and other iRacing pro series.

As the years have gone by, the team has continued to expand its footprint, climbing up the eNASCAR ranks each year, creating the General Tire eShort Course Triple Crown, and supporting drivers who run some of the top leagues in the sim racing world across off-road truck, rallycross, pavement modified, and other disciplines. After bringing the World Cup to US television in 2021, all three eShort Course events were broadcast on the CBS Sports Network for the first time in 2022.

eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series

The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series pits 40 of the world’s best iRacers against one another for championship prizes totaling over $300,000. The series features entries from top real-world NASCAR teams like Joe Gibbs Racing and Roush Fenway Racing, media personalities like Steve Letarte and Parker Kligerman, and top eSports organizations like G2 Esports and Renegades.

Jim Beaver eSports competed in the series from 2019 to 2023 with a list of series veterans including Michael Guariglia, Eric Smith, Caine Cook, Michael Guest, Blake Reynolds, Malik Ray, and Garrett Lowe. In 2022 and 2023, the team finished in the top five in eNASCAR team points. 2023 was JBE’s best season ever, with Ray running in the top 10 in points almost all season long, and Lowe giving the team its first two eNASCAR victories on the way to a Championship 4 appearance live at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte.

eShort Course

In the spring of 2020, the General Tire eShort Course World Cup was invented as a way to give real-world pros a taste of top virtual off-road racing and reward top sim racers with a fun and exciting opportunity to compete against them. What had been designed as a one-off diversion during COVID-19 lockdowns has since grown into one of iRacing’s premier events of any discipline, with the iRacing staff handling broadcast production.

With over 180,000 views on the initial broadcast, the 2020 World Cup was so well received that a full Triple Crown was quickly assembled. The World Cup kicks things off with a pair of fixed-setup races in the Pro 2 and Pro 4, while standalone events for Pro 4 and Pro 2 (the latter on a prominent paved road course) round out the season.

Real-world racing stars and celebrities to compete in eShort Course over the years have included Travis Pastrana, Greg Biffle, Alexander Rossi, Ron Capps, Parker Kligerman, Landon Cassill, Kyle Long, Christopher Polvoorde, Eliott Watson, Joe Sylvester, Corry Weller, Seth Quintero, Mia Chapman, Ronnie Anderson, Andrew Carlson, Mitchell deJong, Rajah Caruth, Anthony Alfredo, Josh Bilicki, and David Higgins, among many others.
